We each possess a magnificent self-healing body which is always trying to move toward health. Although healing is not always an immediate process, allowing our body to heal on its own terms is the fastest, most efficient way for it to heal. Craniosacral Therapy is an alte
ative therapy that does not prolong suffering and delay healing by attempting to 'fix' the body. Rather it supports the body's self-healing ability in a gentle, yet powerful way.

The goal of most conventional treatments is to fight disease, while Craniosacral Therapy stimulates the body's resources to generate its own healing. The therapist works with the physical environment that surrounds, nourishes and protects the brain and spinal cord. One of the first things clients notice during their session is the deep sense of relaxation they feel as their central nervous system calms and balances. This deep sense of relaxation can continue long after the session and into the client's everyday life.

Benefits of Craniosacral Therapy include relief from conditions such as biomechanical imbalances and nerve dysfunction problems which can cause pain, numbness, weakness and tingling. It may also reduce inflammation, sharpen cognition, increase organ function, increase energy levels, allow restful sleep and provide a peaceful sense of well-being, confidence and better self-awareness.

This gentle therapy is derived from Osteopathy, a uniquely American form of Alte
ative Healthcare developed by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still over 100 years ago. Dr. Still taught that mechanical restrictions serve as focal points for the origin of disease because they impair the normal function of joints, nerves, and the flow of blood and lymph. The craniosacral therapist looks for the body's subtle rhythms related to expressions of health and then uses gentle techniques to enhance these rhythms.

Craniosacral Therapy acknowledges that emotions can become locked in body tissues as emotional memories and emotional pain. This can cause our tissues to become imprinted with the memory of unresolved experiences which act like a recording that can become activated and replay whenever it gets stimulated. Craniosacral Therapy not only helps the body release the emotional and physical energy previously retained after a traumatic experience, it also helps the body remove the memory of trauma from the central nervous system.

Craniosacral Therapy is a holistic bodywork approach that has proven to be effective for a wide range of physical and emotional conditions because it helps your magnificent self-healing body take better care of you!
