Does your community consist of family and social obligations that have long ago lost their meaning or is it orchestrated around the things that excite you and tap into your passion?

When was the last time you questioned the assumptions you have made around your connections and your community? How much of your participation is based on what you think you should do vs. what you want to do? Any baby showers, birthdays or holidays that are spent in resignation instead of anticipation and full out enjoyment?

Perhaps it’s time to evaluate the quality of your connections and upgrade the energy of your community. Here are some tips that will create connections that inspire and amp up your energy and dynamically align your community with your true essence:

1. Engage in activities that maximize your dominant natural abilities. This seems pretty obvious but you’d be surprised at how many times you’ll say “Yes” to an activity or event that is not aligned with who you are. If you are a great listener don’t position yourself as the social coordinator.

2. Choose or create social environments that energize your style of connection. Some folks thrive on intimacy, some on an audience. Know who you are and honor the essence of your nature.

3. Tap into the collective energy of the group. Often when you come into a group of people you may feel separate. You may notice the differences, instead of the resonance. Tune into what’s true about the collective connection. Often your initial assessment will not prove to be accurate. Go deeper and feel the inner pulse of the group, you’ll invariably create a truer connection.

4. Connect people who can provide mutual value to one another. Creation is collaborative by nature. Air and water don’t exist in a vacuum, they work with one another. It is the same with people. Creating introductions that provide value for everyone enhances the community’s synergy and aligns you with the natural order of life.

5. If you can’t find a community that suits you, create it and host it. Sometimes it seems like you just can’t find ‘your tribe’ anywhere. Perhaps the call is not for you to ‘find’ the community but to ‘create’ the community. Take the leap and create the energy that you’re seeking.

We’re connective creatures by nature. A vibrantly aligned community will not only empower you but will actually create transformation for everyone engaged in it. Take the lead and create a community that’s worthy of your essence and ripples the treasure of your being everywhere.
