Creative Staffing – Why it’s Good to Think Outside the Box

Some people might have heard of the “Kelly Girl.” If you haven’t, she was the model temporary staffing candidate for Kelly Services back in 1946. It was a way to introduce women into the workforce, offering office services on a temporary basis. Sometimes when people think of staffing, their concept stops at office services. But that was a long time ago.
Temporary staffing has come a long way over the last 50 years. Today staffing categories include IT, medical, labor force, HR, etc. But have you thought about contacting a service to find creative help?
For concise communications, companies need designers, marketers, writers, and advertising experts. But they may not have known how to find quality freelancers in these areas.
Contacting a creative staffing company can speed up the process of finding who is available, at the price you can afford, for the timeframe that you are looking to fill. Much like a typical staffing company, they have access to thousands of freelancers looking for work. They can connect you to the one who is going to be the best fit for your project.
The benefit of working with a creative staffing company is that you can bring in any type of skill you need on a temporary basis, without committing to hiring a new staff member. Maybe your website needs some clever new language or functionality.
By bringing in an outsider, the task gets done without sacrificing the workflow of the rest of your department. There’s no need to worry about filling this person’s hours indefinitely. When the job is done, it’s done. You can also temporarily bring in a design genius to impress a client or fill in industry specific knowledge you may suddenly need in the short-term.
The beauty of it is, if that one, single freelancer is not available, a staffing company can find you another. And if you discover you prefer a different personality, work style or skill set in your freelancer, they can help with that as well.
So be creative. What service would you like to provide or level of experience would you like to borrow? It’s not just typing pages any more. Creative staffing has opened a whole new world of creativity.
