Dare to be Thin - The Past is Not a Sign for the Future

If you are like me (that is to say, as I was 25 years ago), you certainly know how it feels to be dissatisfied with your body, not feel love, or to abhor your emotional eating (uncontrolled.) And, even more so, you know how it feels when you don't know how to change the situation.

From my personal experience I also know that perhaps you do not have a clue how to succeed in this battle, and you are discouraged about your chances of finding a real solution.

I know this because it happened to me.

When I think about what caused me to take this very uncharacteristic first step to make a change in my life, and what this would mean to me, I can honestly tell you that I had a strong will to change the situation that I did not want to be in!

But, let us return to 1980 (I was 28 then) — after my first course, from which I initially drew the resources to understand that I held in my own hands the power to design my life as I wanted to.

I continued to suffer from overweight and compulsive binge eating disorders, and similarly continued to search for a satisfying answer. I did not give up, until I found one! Even with the OA (Overeaters Anonymous) program, I was not satisfied, in spite of the fact that it is a very valuable program. But, that was not the solutio I was seeking.

I was looking for the something that would free me of emotional eating and compulsive eating binge disorders, something that would free me from the diet traps, the never ending search for fast ways to lose weight— that would bring me quiet.

I searched until I found one — how did I conduct my search and what did I find? From my point of view, I was already moving towards finding a solution, and, therefore, when I came upon a path that I had not tried "I went with it" without hesitation. I knew that I had nothing to lose (outside of some pounds), and I could only win.

After I followed the system in 1985 (I was then 33), and I was finally forever free of my pre-occupation with weight and food consumption, I was so profoundly convinced of this method, that I thought, anyone else who suffers from overeating disorder and overweight, will see the potential in this system and will immediately want to be free of food, like myself.

If I can be "your messenger woman" for a moment, I would also like to bring you the following message: it is possible! Even if you are fed up with the path you have taken until today, and you are ready for a change — it is important for me to personally tell you, that this is possible!

What was possible for me, and I believe is possible to fulfill your dreams, the decision not to give up on yourself must be an integral part of the objective or solution you are seeking. Do not let your past experiences dictate what is possible for you today, and don't stop or remain idle until you fulfill your desire.

Here's something to think about. I try to memorize it at every opportunity: the injuries and failures that you experienced in the past are long gone. Time and circumstances have changed, and you have changed also. Research tells us that the degree to which you are going to let past experiences impact on your life today, is up to you, and you alone.
