Green and red bell pepper - 2 ringsr
Dill pickle - 4 slicesr
Alfalfa sprouts - 1/3 cup
Insert inside the pita pocket the slice of cheese, tomatoes, bell pepper, Alfalfa sprouts and pickle. Then, heat a skillet over medium heat setting. When the pan is hot enough, place the pita and cover the skillet. Cook the sandwich for a maximum of 10 minutes, or until the bread turns golden brown.
Chicken Taco on Pita
Ingredients:
Chicken breast fillet, cooked and chopped - 2 cupsr
Avocado, sliced thinlyr
Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoonr
Lemon juice - 1 1/2 teaspoonr
Salt - 1/2 teaspoonr
Pita bread, halved - 8 piecesr
Cheddar cheese, shredded - 2 cupsr
White onions, sliced in rings
Green chillies , chopped - 4 ouncesr
Lettuce, shredded - 1 cupr
Taco sauce - 1/2 cupr
Sour cream - 1/2 cup
Mix well the avocado slices, salt and lemon juice. In a microwave-safe container, put in the chicken, oil, salt, onion and the chillies. Cover the container and set the microwave in high setting for a maximum of 4 minutes.
Use the Pita pockets to insert about 1/4 cup of the chicken mixture. Then, add in the lettuce, avocado and cheese. You can have the sour cream or taco sauce as the dip for this superb recipe.
