Have you accomplished what you set out to do in your life?
Are you laser-like focused on your intentions?
How do you feel about your accomplishments?
NOW is a great time to sit down and create NEW intentions and to create your life plans.
So, what do you want?
Why haven't you got what you intended to receive?
I have been reflecting on 'Beliefs' the past couple of weeks and I want to share my discoveries with you.
If you choose to participate keep reading, the following may be LIFE ALTERING...
"You create possibility by believing yourself into it, and you destroy limitations by experiencing yourself out of it..."
Read it again until it sinks in.
Ready?
"You create your experiences according to what you believe..."
Do you understand what I am saying?
What I am stating here is your beliefs create your world. Your beliefs are filtered and you experience that which gives support to your beliefs. Most people think their experiences create their beliefs, I disagree and I am challenging this notion? Afterall, it is a belief! I am challenging this because to say the cause of our beliefs is our experiences relinquishes the responsibility we have as conscious creators.
You see, what you believe filters out anything not on the same frequency as the belief. What you believe dictates what elements you ultimately focus on in the realm of possibility, thus, you experience what your attention is focused on.
There are some points here to address. One, in order to believe something you do not need to experience it. Your parents could tell you not to walk in parks at night because murders hang out behind trees waiting for victims. So, if you go into a park late at night, your expectation could resonate strongly enough to motivate someone to harm you.
Two, beliefs are a series of thoughts which you simply belief to be true. However, just because you belief them to be true, does not mean it is the TRUTH.
Okay, are you still with me?
If you want to CHANGE your life experiences, you must change your BELIEFS.
How do you do this?
Start with your thoughts. Observe, engage, substitute.
What are your perceptions? Can you change the way you look at things? YES.
Until this point in your life you got what you BELIEVED you would get! There are goals I have not achieved in my life...so far... Why? Because my beliefs weren't aligned with what I said I wanted. If you haven't achieved something, it is because of your beliefs.
How do you know what you believe? Flush out your beliefs by looking RIGHT NOW at your life experiences. Whatever is going on in your life, whatever you have experienced in your life, it is because of your beliefs.
If you want to change your life profoundly RIGHT NOW...
Take out a piece of paper. At the top of the page write, "I believe..."
Now, ask yourself these questions...
1. What is happening in my life? What am I experiencing?
2. In order for this to be happening, I must believe... What???
Here's an example: Let's say you have a goal to make a certain amount of money but you can never seem to attain it. (By the way, that's a belief) You may believe: I can't make money. Money is hard to make. I can't get a break. I work hard but never seem to get ahead and so on.
So, if you believe you can't catch a break and money is hard to get. Then, guess what? You will create that experience. We MUST flush out these beliefs.
Make your list of beliefs and keep reflecting on your experiences in your life. Talk to yourself with dialogue like, "I experience this, so I must belief in this..." or "I created this experience and in order to create this I must belief..." When making your list, try not to get analytical, just write down what comes into your head. BE HONEST with yourself, no one is checking except for you.
Did you make your list?
Your beliefs are exposed in your life by your language, your choice of friends, careers, occurrences etc.
If you truly want to know what you believe, simply observe your life.
Once a belief is installed in your consciousness, your experiences will give you the evidence to support the belief.
Back to the exercise:
Now, look at your list and own it! Read it aloud. ASK yourself, "Do I really believe this belief?" If you want to change it, Challenge it! Where did this belief come from? Did someone tell me this as a child? Why do you believe this belief? Did you form this belief because others told you to?
If you were a child when you formed your belief, can you understand that your mind was impressionable and perhaps you formed this belief because you wanted approval from a parent or teacher? If you want to change a belief, investigate it, form different thoughts and switch your perception of it.
Your life will be what ever you believe it will be!
But, it is up to you... If you haven't been getting what you want and you truly want to change your world, nchange your beliefs!
Remember, REALITY IS ANYTHING YOU BELIEVE IT TO BE!
Once you identify your desire to change a belief, then MAKE a DECISION to change your perception.
Your life experience is a REFLECTION of your BELIEFS... The clues are in what you are getting, if you don't like the fruits, change the labor!
