When talking about your diet to get slim for women, most people worry about whether they are eating too much. However, the question today is, are you eating enough? Did you know that if you do not eat enough you can prevent weight loss from happening? Many people believe that by not eating they will lose weight, but that is not always true.
It makes sense to think that eating less will help you lose weight. But, if you are trying to lose weight it is actually optimal for you to eat small meals every three to four hours. Eating only two or three times daily actually places your body in a state of starvation.
When you wait for over four hours for your next meal, your body actually accumulates what you eat in the next meal as fats. On the other hand, if you eat a balanced meal (high protein and lower carbohydrates and fats) every 4 hours, your metabolism will increase, resulting in greater fat loss.
The principle for a fat loss diet is this: the more frequently you eat without going overboard, the more likely it will be for your body to keep burning extra fats.
Another disadvantage to starvation is that your body will take its energy source from other places such as your skin, muscle and brain. Thus, your best bet for a fat loss diet must include adequate protein to repair and rebuild your muscles especially after a workout.
Do remember that not eating often enough food will lower your fat burning metabolism, put your body into starvation mode, break down muscle mass for energy, as well as cause your body to store more fat.
Therefore, a simple solution for a fat loss diet is to increase your meal intake by including protein shakes in your meal plan. This will increase your energy, allowing you to get better sleep and prevent all the above-mentioned problems which will occur when you do not eat often enough.
Protein shakes are great in helping to fill this meal gap. Protein shakes are convenient, you can simply take several scoops of protein powder with you when you are on the go and add it to water or milk when you are ready to drink it. Protein will stabilize your blood sugar level, increase your metabolism, as well as supply needed nutrient and energy without you needing to sit down and have a 'proper' meal.
