So we all know how important cardiovascular exercise is to our health, it goes without saying that we need to include it in our everyday routines. That can be a little troublesome for some of us. The good news is there are so many options when it comes to do cardio that even if one method may not work for us, we can find something that might fight our interests or lifestyle better.
Running of course is what a lot of people think when they hear the world cardiovascular exercise. Running is great because it is relatively cheap and can be done outside in the beautiful scenery or in the comfort of your own living room on a treadmill.
Another way to do cardio is a bit more expensive than run, but very fun to do, bicycling. This is another exercise that you can do inside or outside depending on what you prefer. You can even read a book while you are biking, if you are doing it on a machine.
Although they are not tread mills, elliptical trainers also do a very good job in helping you reach the level of fitness you have been aiming for. You can adjust the intensity, adjust the slope and even go backwards on it.
Swimming is also a great way to get some cardio exercise as it allows you to use your full body, and on top of that you get to get in the water. Best of all, you do not have to worry about high-impact injuries, unless of course you hit your head on the side of the pool.
Kickboxing is an intense way to get your cardio exercise in for the day as it is fun and aggressive, and combing kicks and punches not only enhances your coordination, but also involves upper and lower body. Kickboxing gives you an excellent overall workout.
Last but not least, there is walking. Walking is a great choice for cardio is it is always available, you really do not need special equipment, and you can do it anywhere and at any time.
So there you have it, a couple suggestions for your cardio needs. So get out on your treadmill, or jump into the nearest pool and get fit.
