Have you ever thought about statistics and ended up thinking of an airplane's floor path illumination? Well, true and tested statistics show us the true north just like the floor path illumination of an airplane helps us find the way out.
"If we look at digital marketing, it has not remained the same as it was back in 2015 or 16".

For example:
2018 is the year when Google admitted that Google+ is a dead horse and yet this was the social media channel that was considered to be the real contender of Facebook because it was associated with the big G.
So:
I decided to compile a list of statistics and facts that really shows us where digital marketing is going to be by the end of 2019.
Here you go:
1. Mobile Marketing Will Remain a Grey Arear
Take a look at this stat from 2017 suggests that 85% of digital marketing agencies and businesses using mobile marketing think that it is a positive experience for their target audience.
However:
Only 47% of users agree to this notion.
This and the strict conditions applied to mobile marketing in the USA especially and Europe prove that while digital marketing will boom with rocket's pace, mobile marketing will take a longer time to evolve.
2. The video is the Future of Digital Marketingr
Textual content and photos are going to be there for a very long time, if not forever, but the video will come as the most important and decisive form of content and the best tool of digital marketing.
As per some statistics, 82% of the consumer internet traffic by 2021 would be occupied by videos. Call it explainer videos, entertainment, video sales letters or whatever, but digital marketers are already making the shift from textual content to videos.
However:
If there is any sort of content that will challenge videos' hegemony, is interactive content. It is said that 53% of content marketers have started using interactive content because of how well it influences the target market.
3. Social Media Marketing is = Digital Marketing
Yes:
Even the dumb, near spam and overrated SMS marketing, is called digital marketing and it has got nothing to do with social media.
And you want to know why I think that in this day social media marketing is the same as digital marketing.
Well:
The reason is some stats discussed by Marketing Charts and shared by OMNICORE. As per these stats, social media marketing takes the lion's share and 58% of digital marketing is social media marketing, SEO is only 1%, mobile marketing is only 7% and email is only 13%.
4. Email Marketing Will Receive a Bigger Share in 2019
Cold email and email sequence for the subscribers is going to take a bigger share in 2019. As a matter of fact, email marketing was always looked down upon because of pathetic open rate until Jon Buchan and email copywriters like Ben Settle and others started to get unbelievable open rates with emails.
Actually:
In 2018 only, the marketing emails' open by mobile device rate has reached an ever high of 80%.
This indicates that not only in 2019 email open rate for mobile devices will touch the figure of 90, but email marketing will receive a bigger share in digital marketing.
So:
These interesting trends and figures of marketing give you a glimpse of what digital marketing will look like in 2019. All you have to do is follow the bread crumbs and find your way out of the maze.Article author
