Discovering "The Road Not Taken"

All creatures come into this world instinctively knowing their TRUE PURPOSE.

As humans, we allow our EGO to take us down a path that separates us from our own Divine Purpose. We lose connection with the natural gifts and talents that we came to support our AUTHENTIC LIFE OF PASSION!

We are quickly taken “off purpose” by adopting a belief system that was initially designed to give us security, safety and structure. We adopt the beliefs of everything and everyone whom we have looked up to and we end up taking on THEIR BELIEF SYSTEM that they adopted early in their own lives. Our parents’ beliefs, our teachers’ guidance, our religious instructions and our “experienced communal way of life” and thinking put us on an “automatic pilot” program destined to take us down a different road.
Years later, we find that we are living the lives of those who influenced us early on and it makes us feel good that we have made them proud by living the life of their expectations…but somewhere along the way, we forgot who we were and the direction of our heart’s path which was intended to guide us.

Overcoming this adopted belief system and the “collective consciousness” of mankind is hard to step away from. This “divergent and unknown path” is hard to choose. The choice is uncomfortable because it takes us away from our KNOWN WORLD and into a splendid adventure to our HEART’S PASSION.

This journey was beautifully captured in the classic poem by Robert Frost in 1916:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel bothr
And be one traveler, long I stoodr
And looked down one as far as I couldr
To where it bent in the undergrowth.

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing therer
Had worn them really about the same.

And both that morning equally layr
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sighr
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I–
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference!

Choosing this path is the true path to our heart and remembering our LIFE’S PASSION. It leads us to our TRUE SELF and only there will we find our life of joy, adventure and courage.
