Do Traffic Exchanges Work In Today's Market.

Anyone who is involved with trying to create a Website income, will have come across Traffic Exchanges at some time or other.

Traffic Exchanges are where you surf other peoples Websites to receive credits,then you can show your Website and get visitors in return. You can also buy credits which will save you the time of surfing other Websites.

There are only two ways that the marketer should be using these exchanges in today's marketplace.

1. If you have a new Website, using Traffic Exchanges enables you to get a lot of quick visitors to your Website.
The problem with this is that the visitors only show up as referral's in Google Analytics, also these visitors are highly unlikely to be interested in the content of your Website.

You should be thinking alone the line of 'Any Publicity Is Good Publicity'.

There is a lot to be said about building a Down line or List using Traffic Exchanges, many successful marketer's have started out this way.
All the above will only take about an hour of your time each day.

2. By using two Traffic Exchanges you can play one off against the other, build up your referral's and then you can receive free credits and therefore free visitors to your Website.
You advertise one site on the other and vice versa to get your referral's.

Using Traffic Exchanges this way will require either a lot of your time or a fair amount of money.
Surfing on Traffic Exchanges can take up a lot of your time, and very quickly becomes monotonous due to the time you have to wait. Websites are shown for 10-30 seconds before you can move on to the next Website.

There are only a few Traffic Exchanges that you should use. Unfortunately there are many Traffic Exchanges around that simply do not work very well, and you are advised to keep well clear of them.

Remember that most surfers on a Traffic Exchange are surfing to earn money, these surfers join up to ten Traffic Exchanges and are not interested in the content of Websites they surf,only the number a sites they can surf matter.

That said, it is possible to generate a small amount of business depending on what you have to offer.
Getting referral's is a lot easier and you can build a good Down-line or list for future promotions.

The way to get results from Traffic Exchanges as with most types of advertising, is to have something on your Website that no-one else has. Normally this is done with a Splash Page and if done correctly will entice the surfer to have a look at your site or join your Down-line or list.

I use the second option myself on my Websites, and find this works very well. You need to use other methods as well to generate more visitors to your Website, using just Traffic Exchanges is not enough for a successful Website.
