Do What You Love so You Can Love What You Do FOREVER!

I have always held this belief that when we were kids we had some inkling or notion of the things that inspired us and even gave us some insight into who or what we wanted to become when we were older. Then as life would have it, we grow up and away from those things as we learn about pleasing other people, making lots of money and looking good. Our childhood inspirations get shelved somewhere as we tackle 'making it' in the real world. And then around the thirties we begin asking ourselves why we are unhappy with our career, our partner, even our life.
I began coaching people to take a look back and start from there to find out what their passion/purpose is.

Now as I find myself working in the youth market, I want to encourage teens and young adults to follow their bliss and create a path carved out from what inspires them, interests them and speaks to the things that matter most.
What are your thoughts on the connection between childhood aspirations and adulthood passions. I know for me when I was a kid, I wanted to be a school teacher. What I was really about was being up on a 'stage', engaging with people, sharing information and enjoying it. I wish someone had captured those things and had me create a plan for my career or my life from that.

Instead I got caught up in doing something that others thought was a good fit for me and at the same time I was conce
ed with making a lot of money and looking good!!

I wonder where my life would have taken me had I started with looking at what I loved as a kid and worked from there
