- Features: In the context of functions, Dynamics 365 organizes its functionalities into individual apps. Its key features can be accessed via the Finance and Operations app, with the remaining available via the supplementary apps. Oracle too divides its functionalities albeit across separate clouds, such as Financials Cloud, Accounting Hub Cloud, and Risk Management Cloud among others.
- Time is taken to implement: While there are a variety of factors that impact the time it takes to implement a solution, the fact remains that this figure plays a crucial role in the eventual decision. Research has shown that the implementation projects of both Oracle, as well as Microsoft Dynamics 365, tend to overshoot their respective estimates by an average of 15 percent.
- Pricing: Based on the functionalities you need, you can access Microsoft Dynamics 365 via two plans: Dynamics 365 Plan and Unified Operations Plan. So you get two kinds of licenses and tiered pricing strategy. Now, on to Oracle; unfortunately, things aren’t quite as simple with this one’s ERP solution.
