Eating For Energy

Traditional Medical Practitioners (TMP) are now encouraging people to eat less animal flesh for many different and equally valid reasons. Most of the reasons relate to the fat content or the method of cooking. I have yet to hear TMP’s discuss the reasons I do not eat animal flesh especially beef. My first reason is probably the most emotional reason which is they are adorable; there I’ve said what most of you are probably thinking. Aside from their big brown eyes and wet nose, there are other reasons I choose not to eat them. Cows which are natural herbivores are being turned not only into carnivores but cannibals as well. In order to fatten cows up so they can get to the correct weight to be slaughtered (glad there isn’t a slaughter weight for people), they are fed a high protein chow which contains animal byproducts sometimes including other bovine. If that isn’t enough to make people want to stop eating beef, then I don’t know what is.

I don’t eat animal flesh is because of the horrific lives and deaths many of the commercially farmed animals experience. As more and more human organ transplants are being performed each year, we are gathering more data on what is being called Cellular Memory. To put it simply, people who have received donor organs have taken on some of the likes and dislikes which the organ donor had before they died. My thoughts are, the pain, fear and agony that the animals feel throughout their lives and deaths are transferred into humans via their flesh which is consumed. If we eat food to nourish our bodies, then how can eating flesh with the Cellular Memory of a tragic life/death be good for my physical body or me as a spiritual being?
This brings me to my ultimate point…I choose to eat organically grown vegetables without any GMO’s so that the food I eat truly nourishes me Body, Mind and Spirit.
