As a young girl, I would interact with the spirits that would roam around in my parent’s apartment in the day and night. I found it extraordinary that these beings would walk or glide around freely without anyone noticing them but me. “Did you see that?”, I would ask and I would be told, “See what?” That’s when I knew I had a special ability to see the spirits on the other side. I remember chasing one to see where it was going and it would always turn the corner and disappear.

You can either see a silhouette standing in a corner, or a flash of light rushing pass you. Either way, I knew I was looking at a spirit. I would watch scary movies and I must say their version of these beings in most cases are very far from the truth. I see their interpretations of what these spirits look like, but it never matched up to my personal experience.

One night half asleep and I heard someone calling my name. I jumped because the voice was so clear and close. My room was pitch black and no one was up in the house. I closed my eyes and the whispers begin. At first, it scared the crap out of me hearing and feeling someone speak to me and see no one around, but for whatever reaso
I remained calm and asked God to protect me throughout the night. I also felt someone sitting at the edge of my bed. You could actually see the bed go down where they were sitting. I knew I couldn’t escape these experiences, so eventually I would fall asleep and wake up to a peaceful morning.

These experiences begin to happen more frequently and I realized that these spirits knew I could see and hear them. They would stick around me all day and at first I thought it was pretty cool but after a while, it became to be too much for me. I was young, giving people advice and messages from their spirit guides and though they were grateful, I knew my abilities scared them.

These spirits wanted someone to communicate with them. They wanted to be recognized and acknowledged, but no one else could see them. I don’t see spirits half as much as I use to, but I can still feel and hear them around me. Today I work with the spirits in my practice, but I had to learn how to be comfortable and trust in their presence. I personally don’t believe I have come across any negative spirits, but I do believe I have protection on the other side.

If you are having these experiences, I am here to tell you to embrace the moment and accept your gifts. I know it may seem scary at first, but the difference you can make in someone else’s life by relaying a message to them from the other side, is amazing. You are one of the chosen who can communicate with the spirit world, but you have to practice this talent. If you are reading this now, chances are you are gifted and spirit is waiting to reach out to you. Don’t be afraid, answer your calling.
