Enlightenment….The Most Practical Thing You Can Do
Written by Barry S. Weinberg
One of the most misunderstood and misused words in our culture is Enlightenment. Often, it conjures up images of bearded men in saffron robes sitting in lotus position in some secluded temple or cave. For the average person, enlightenment seems to be something out of reach and an impractical goal, yet it is the most practical thing you can do.
At its most fundamental meaning, enlightenment comes down to mastering three things: being self-aware in every moment, having a clear vision or aim and taking deliberate action towards its fulfillment, and effectively handling challenges as they arise.
If you look at all enlightened beings who have graced this world, you will see that they had little in common. Some were passive…some dynamic. Some gentle and compassionate … some ruthless and fierce. Some were priests and some were warriors. Yet with all their differences, they all had one thing in common: they mastered those three things – awareness, deliberation and effectively handling challenge.
Likewise, when you observe the lives of people who were great successes, leaders and contributors to society, you will notice they too mastered these three things. In fact, it was the mastery of being aware of self and environment, having a powerful vision and believing in it until it was real and overcoming obstacles that made them the great successes, leader and contributors that they were.
Can you see in your own life how the mastery of these three things is essential for being successful in creating whatever it is you desire? Can you see how in those times in your life when you were successful, you were doing these things (whether consciously or unconsciously)? Can you feel how by deliberately mastering these skills, you have the ability to create and experience joyful success in all areas of your life….in every moment of your life?
Whether it be a successful business, vibrant health and well-being, a love-filled relationship or just peace of mind and joyful life, enlightenment is the most practical thing you can do.
The Self Discovery Techniques are a revolutionary strategy to rapidly accelerate the self-mastery process nn
