I Very Well Understand That Power Within Me:
I was at that time thirteen. All of a sudden a call came to me at that age. That call persists. While the call lasted, I told you many a thing. I've told. You know that. That went on for a pretty long time—five or seven years, may be ten years. Then that thing gave place to another—that very day when I saw that Ball of Fire, that very day when written words began coming out of it. A few days before that—'Do you remember that—do you?' Many things happened before that. That thing. From that I gradually came to realize the Universe. So everybody for himself.
At a certain point of time, a whole cluster of things was created. How have I come into being on this earth? Is this something belonging to my parents? Is this a thing which I've got from something in another's possession? Eh? Does this thing of mine lie under the aegis of initiation or instruction or anything as such?
I very well understand that the thing is inherent in me. I understand that 'Power'. It's a power, indeed. Man is thus being created out of that power. Animals, too. Not that one is being born out of another. I didn't get that. I try to realize from that state of things.
'To try' means—while realizing—I didn't make any effort. I say this in very truth. Never made the least effort. I understand or see this thing even with my eyes shut or while looking on or while chatting. All this is so simple to me.
"Transformation"—An Irrelevant Thought:
It's indeed a Great Power. Here have I come into the world to offer that power. Why? The world has come to or is coming to such a pass, that it has become a necessity. If a beginning is made in spreading it, a hundred years hence, or two hundred, or five hundred, its progress will be noticed.
In the same manner, the day man was created there was necessity for such a power. Plant, grass—everything is due to that power. All the things are derived from Power.
They have come in cluster owing their origin to a certain power. Then came man the highest among the higher order of beings. Man assumed this power. Now while being evolved, or as if in course of evolving himself, man has come to this stage. Now look at the development and manifestation of man in these days; also look at the primitive man. Nothing is in common. The modern man contrasted with the primitive man. You will say—those indeed were ape-men. Those who ate raw flesh wore barks of trees and so on. Now you will call them ape-men.
So now man is highly evolved. But being thus evolved, man is once again taking the downward path. That downward course has to be checked and this evolution has to be maintained. He is being calmed down.
So there's need for a vast power. One has been sent endowed with that tremendous power. In my realizatio
I don't get that—Transformed.
Since the creation, always we get one thing after another. When the first alligator was created, did it on that day grow from being a baby? Where were the baby and the rest? So it came one of those days. All of a sudden out of a kind of vapor, it came into being.
Well, see. Now you can see a baby alligator, can't you? Hence sexual union. Sexual union was evolved. So a male and a female came to be born. One was charged with male energy. The other with female energy. One took on the male shape; the other the female one.
Right? The ink-pot came into being; so did the pen. The pen won't be transformed into the inkpot; or the ink-pot into the pen.
In the case of any of the living creatures, the first creation happened of itself. But once that creation is over, its fruit flower and seeds—this is the cycle which goes on.
First the vapor floats down on grains of rice. Once this is done, one grain clings to another. That generates heat. Once heat develops, they are able to stir.
Just fancy, a whiff of vapor enters somewhere under the surface of the earth. A fruit is conceived within. It takes form. (We are aware of many an example which set us thinking deeply.)
Look at the earth. What we have never known or seen, how does that happen? Similarly man has been created. Why do you make so much fuss over man? How was the elephant created? Wherefrom they came and by what was the transformation effected?

About the Author
Ma-Mahajnan, a matchless spiritual genius, expressed her entire creation in a state of "Conscious Trance” which has all been stuffed with matters of highly philosophical values and related with strong literary sense. She could not attend even Primary School due to extreme poverty. Strangely, she was taught all by herself in the School of Nature. The weird and wonderful life is possibly the souse of her vast experience and profound realization. She was born on 17 July, 1928 and passed away on 22 January, 2011. The weird and wonderful life of Great Ma-Mahajnan is the source of our inspiration. Her profound realization compiled in more than one hundred of authentic books is far beyond imagination.
Asokananda Prosad, Ma-Mahajnan's first disciple, is an engineer, a philosopher and a philanthropist. Being the missing son—the eldest and the first disciple of Great Ma-Mahajnan, he has had to shoulder so many burdens of Ashram and Temple. He has long been translating Works of Ma-Mahajnan, written in Bengali, into English. The Mother didn’t just put those in black and white, but simply expressed, extempore and spontaneous, in a state of “Conscious Trance” and Asokananda along with his brothers and sisters got those tape-recorded. He now shoulders as: Director of Pub. Div. : Adarsha Prokashani; Editor of Jou
als : Nandan Kanan & Sudhi Sahitya; General Secretary : Ma-Mahajnan Vishwa Kalyan Trust; Secretary : Society for the Formation of Character and Sequence; Independent Scholar : Philosophy Documentation Center, Ohio, USA; A Leading Philosopher of the World.

The Creative Process, How And Why It Works
Creativity is a subtle and magnificent dance between the rational and the intuitive, between the left and right parts of the brains, between technique and imagination. Both partners in this dance are absolutely necessary and are needed in equal proportion, which means that imagination is not more important than technique and visa versa. If you only live in the imagination, you will never get organized, you will never complete your story. However, if you start from the rational, linear, organizational part of the process, ( ie. Gotta have the perfect opening sentence and first paragraph...

The Happy Ending - Love Conquers All Or Thoughts On Fiction Writing After Dialoguing With My Dog
Recently, I was considering the question of peace, which doesn't happen often while writing fiction. There's all that drama, love, hate, desire, envy and so on. Peace, with any luck, comes at the end of the novel. I was considering this aimlessly as I lay with my head on Phoebe's warm flank. Phoebe, being the sensitive, intuitive creature she is, immediately tuned into my musings and suggested we consider the question of love instead, which she quite rightly observed was a precursor to true peace.
