Existing With Peace
Written by Adam Benedetto and Zoe Young at Answers in Writing
Imagine existing without a trouble in your mind, without the feeling that there is something else you must take care of, do, manage, or struggle against. There is peace to be found within. By letting yourself open up and find out who you really are gives you the opportunity to exist from a free space, from a place that honors you, that is true to you without anything holding you back. We are all meant to exist in this way - free, clear and true to our very selves. Imagine existing without struggle, without any emotional blocks, but open purely to the life that is in front of you. All of this is possible; it is a place that already exists within us.
As we grow older, we add up our life experiences and bring it forward with us. We place it into our future, dragging up the past with everything we do, how we react, how we pretend to be, and how we live our life. To be our true self is to be without all of this. It is to exist fundamentally, without anything else. This is where peace comes in, for not holding yourself back or projecting yourself into the future is to be free, without hindrance, emotional or mental, but clear, open, and free.
Existence is not a battle and yet so few of us live it that way. We portray ourselves as how we think we should be in life, based on experience, memory, thoughts and how we feel. And yet all of these are preemptive, not real. They are processed before they even begin. We are not allowing ourselves to come from the place that is real. We are not beginning at the moment to see and feel what is really happening, because we have layered our responses and how we feel over the very moment before it has even begun.
Imagine not feeling, thinking, or portraying anything. Imagine being solely to be. Imagine existing just as you are - free, alive, and true. That is peace. That is reality. That is where happiness comes from, for we are allowing our true self to take part in our very own lives. We are being one with ourselves and there is nothing in the way.
