It is human tendency to go looking for things outside before looking within. We love to believe in UFO sightings, ghost stories, crop circles and aliens. As a race, we need some kind of a thrill which we get from mystery. In fact, some of us are so hell bent on adding thrill to our lives that we go ahead and believe in all the shenanigans people manage to cook up. However, extrasensory perception, one of the most overwhelming mysteries of the mind, is often overlooked. For those of you who do not know what it is, this kind of perception refers to the reception of knowledge and information without depending on our five primary senses. In layman’s terms, this phenomenon is also referred to as the sixth sense phenomenon. Like every other mystery in the world, this concept also has its set of believers and non-believers. The scientific community seems to come down quite heavily on this subject as this kind of perception cannot be proved in laboratory conditions. In fact, scientists and a lot of non-believers make no fuss about expressing their scepticism when it comes to extrasensory perception. However, there is this other lineage of individuals who believe that there is no such thing as a coincidence. Every event, emotion and feeling we go through in life has a reason and connection. We may not be able to see these connections all the time but that does not mean they do not exist. In fact, these individuals believe that the sixth sense is as scientific and real as the air we breathe. Just because we cannot prove its existence by rigid scientific norms, that does not disprove its existence. This ability to receive information without depending on the five senses namely sight, sound, touch, taste and smell, has opened new avenues for the mind. Extrasensory perception is used for a number of reasons such as holistic health and energy healing techniques to name a few. The sixth sense works in different ways. Understanding these ways can lead us to great spiritual heights. The following are the most popular phenomena related to the sixth sense. - Telepathy is perhaps the most commonly experienced and discussed aspects of the minds power to perceive. In various stages of our life, we feel this abstract connection with certain individuals where nothing really needs to be said and everything is understood. One of the most common examples of this phenomenon is to think of someone and the person calls at the very moment. - Another extraordinary example of extrasensory perception is precognition or intuition. A lot of people we know tend to have a sense of outcomes of events even before they happen. There is no logical explanation to this but there is no denying the fact that this does happen. - People who are a bit more evolved in this matter also experience clairvoyance. Clairvoyance refers to the ability to see things and events through an inner sight. Fictitious as it may sound; a lot of instances prove that this actually happens. - Retrocognition or the ability to view past events is also a fine example of this kind of extrasensory perception. This idea has gained popularity since the rise in popularity of past life regression.

Affirmations for abundance are exactly what their name implies. Or are they? Actually, they may not be what people initially assume them to be. On the surface, it would seem that affirmations for abundance are little more than self-help statements designed solely for the purpose of amassing money. In some ways, this could be considered partially accurate. Abundance would be considered the amassing of wealth, profits, or material possessions. Yet, to limit the perspective of what such affirmations are down to such mere material descriptions is somewhat inaccurate.

While most people are aware of the benefits of daily meditation, it still is not a particularly common practice. If you were to take 10 random people off of the street, it’s unlikely that even ONE of those people consistently practices mediation each and every day.
