GERANIUM
Geranium essential oil has a couple of very positive effects on the skin.
In skincare, it is mostly used to balance the skin. It is an adrenal cortex stimulant, making it valuable for those with combination, dry, dehydrated, or oily skin. Due to this balancing action, it helps to boost and improve the elasticity of the skin.
It is helpful in relieving water retention and swelling, as it stimulates the lymphatic system, making it an excellent ingredient to use in our WEO BLEND #98 FACIAL MOISTURIZING SERUM. This translates into firmer skin.
Geranium essential oil also calms irritated skin, helps clear acne and helps boost circulation.
Geranium essential oil is steam distilled from the plant Pelargonium graveolens. It is mostly colorless, but can have a slight light green tinge and a watery viscosity.
PATCHOULI
The cicatrisant and cytophylactic properties of Patchouli essential oil make it ideal for promoting and stimulating new cell growth.
The astringent action of Patchouli has a musty-sweet, strong spicy smell and is reddish-brown in color.
Patchouli essential oil is not commonly used in cosmetic skincare roducts, as the cost is relatively high, yet the cost is balanced by the very powerful and positive effects it has on the skin, and for this reason it is an ingredient in our BLEND #98 FACIAL MOISTURIZING SERUM.
MYRRH
Apart from its exceptional healing properties, Myrrh essential oil is an excellent ingredient to use on older more mature skin, as well as very stressed, traumatized, dehydrated and dry skin.
The vulnerary action of Myrrh helps in preventing tissue degeneration and has a wonderful rejuvenating effect on any skin.
Myrrh starts to work in a short period of time to create a more toned, vital and healthy looking skin. Not only does Myrrh help to balance the hydration of the skin, but at the same time helps to remove toxins from the tissues, promoting general tissue repair. Again, due to its high cost Myrrh is not used often in cosmetic skincare products, but at WEO we believe the benefits out way the cost, hence, Myrrh is an ingredient in our BLEND #98 SERUM.
Myrrh has a warm, slightly musty smell and is pale yellow to amber in color.
Finally our miracle ingredient... TAMANU OIL! As you know from previous articles, we include TAMANU OIL in all our products
Our BLEND # 98 FACIAL MOISTURIZING SERUM includes TAMANU OIL, GERANIUM ESSENTIAL OIL, PATCHOULI ESSENTIAL OIL AND MYRRH ESSENTIAL OIL...AND THAT IS ALL!
