You probably hear it all the time: You must be willing to fail in order to win. As you probably suspected, most people are not are not willing to take the failure walk for their home based franchise and that is what stops 97% of entrepreneurs dead in their tracks. The fear of failure has people giving eulogies to their goals, hopes and desires.
Recently, I came across some very powerful information that I’d like to share with you this week. Short, sweet, very powerful and it might just what you and your home based franchise have been looking for.
Most people are blinded by their own internal measures: they judge themselves as a success or a failure. Friends…Take note to the following: Failure cannot happe
TO you – you can only give failure to yourself. You fail only when you give up believing in yourself. Once this happens, there is no other failure in the world.
A breakthrough strategy was developed at the Palo Alto Brief Therapy Clinic by Dr. Paul Watzlawick for life-long learning that makes goal achievement surprisingly simple and it goes like this:
Although your actions may not always accomplish your goals, they always produce an outcome. If you learn how to accept what your actions produce, you can use every outcome you produce to guide you toward your ultimate goal. "Whatever course of action you take," says Dr. Watzlawick, "I am going to ask that you report any small concrete indicator of success, any movement in the direction of your goal."
When you observe the effects of your actions, you open yourself to perceiving progress toward and away from your goals. Therefore, the only feedback is -- "I have not arrived yet."
The point of this strategy and what I want you to strongly consider is to recognize movement toward your goals in your home based franchise and in your life. Any movement. We need to learn to experience success in the direction of our goals without having to achieve the whole enchilada just yet. When we take the pressure off ourselves, we have the opportunity to maintain our balance, enjoy the journey, and keep learning all the time.
Here is the ultimate take away lesson...
If you value and integrate the feedback from your actions, ALL outcomes you produce can lead to learning -- NOT frustration and NOT failure.
This may be one of the most important lessons I've seen and learned in some time. I speak with and train hundreds of entrepreneurs and home based franchise owners week in and week out in the Direct Sales and Marketing industry and many of them are frustrated...and feel like they failing.
You now have the knowledge that it’s the daily feedback from your actions that is going to take you to your ultimate successful destination.
As short article yes, but please do not take this information lightly. Keep your eyes open for your daily feedback. Read this again and again until you are practicing this choice of success…not failure every day in your home based franchise.

The Greatest Story Ever Sold
Back in the late 1980’s, the Honda Motor Company ran a memorable series of commercials, the basic premise of which was that the company’s cars were so amazing, they sold themselves. Decision-Maker or Decision-Faker?
Excerpt from the book "Chase the Championship - Kicking Ass, Taking Names and Becoming a Dealmaker!" Stay far away from the boss’s underlings when you are in search of a decision. The heads of Marketing, IT, Human Resources, or whoever else is part of the “decision-making chain” for the product or service that you are selling should never be the people that you go after for a commitment.
