“A dream written down with a date becomes a GOAL. A goal broken down into steps becomes a PLAN. A plan backed by ACTION makes your dream come true.” -Greg Reid

What do you think about everyday? Where do your thoughts lead you? Do you put actions behind your thoughts and dreams? How can you direct your mind to live in accordance with the laws of prosperity? These are the kinds of questions you must ask yourself. In order to encourage your thinking to go in a certain way that brings prosperity into your life, you must develop a plan to bring it to you.

Here are five keys, thoughts, ideas, universal laws, and lessons on which prosperity is based. Putting these effective keys into continuous practice will serve you well.

1. Your consciousness and beliefs create your prosperity. Be aware of what and how you think. If you always dwell on what you don’t have instead of what is to come, you may never experience the feeling of having plenty. Prosperity is never a lack of not having things, it is a state of mind.

2. Faith is the cornerstone of prosperity. Change your beliefs and you change your circumstances. Accept the belief that prosperity is your birthright. This applies to everyone in the universe. Keep this thought uppermost in your mind and make it your daily affirmation.

3. The circulation and sharing of money has a boomerang effect. Sending money forth brings it right back to you. Hoarding and being miserly with money causes a block in its flow. If you don’t let it go, it won’t come back to you. This cycle is unending. It is spiritual nourishment to the universe.

4. If you have a talent, skill, or gift, celebrate it and share it with others. Your prosperity is built on a value-for-value formula. It is the way the universe operates. When you don’t practice your God-given talent, skill or gift, you simply may lose it, or have it taken away.

5. Always live your life by displaying good values that include:

A. Having a high moral purpose. A constructive purpose allows you to control your happiness.

B. Knowing the reasons for which you base your values. Being aware of what serves your purpose encourages your happiness.

C. Developing and maintaining your self-esteem. Keep your standards and values high. When you feel good about yourself others will be inspired. Never sacrifice your needs above those of another. Self-love is the expression of self-esteem. It is one of the best and truest of values.

D. Showing gratitude for all things that come your way. Appreciation and thankfulness for what you have increases your positive outlook on life. When your attitude is happy and optimistic, the outcome to any situation or challenge is more positive and rewarding.

Your thoughts lead to your values; your values lead to your decisions, and your decisions are what determines the circumstances that make up your life. Learning to control your thoughts, your values in life, and being conscious of all emotions that lead you to your greatest decisions are the keys to what prosperity is all about.
