Ah, marriage. If you're reading this, then you or someone you know is probably about to tie the knot, and while many people joke about marriage being the end of a man's life, that's not exactly true. Of course, things will be slightly different once you're married, but life as you know won't be over. However, it is a good idea to have a buck’s party to have one last night as a single guy. Of course, these bachelor parties sometimes get a bad rap, but remember that a buck’s party is really only as scandalous as you make it be. Here are some great ways to celebrate without jeopardizing your future marriage.
1. Golf getaway. This is the perfect buck’s party theme if you and your friends eat, sleep and breathe golf. This is an easy trip to plan because all you have to do is coordinate your schedules and book your tee times. Of course, you don't have to stay on the golf course all day, but if you love golf, chances are, the groundskeeper will have to beg you and your friends to leave the premises.
2. Go karts, batting cages and laser tag. For the kid at heart, this kind of buck’s party allows you to get in touch with your playful side while spending some quality time with the guys in the wedding party. After a day of playing, you will probably have worked up quite the appetite, so it's probably a good idea to end the day by throwing some streaks on the grill.
3. Float/camping trip. If laser tag isn't really your cup of tea, then gather your closest friends and go on a float/camping trip. Be sure to pack lots of food so you can have a cookout, and take your camera along so you can document the trip for posterity.
4. Fishing/sailing, Fishing is one of the best activities because it's relaxing, but it also allows you to tap into your competitive side and see who can catch the biggest fish. While fishing on land can be fun, sailing can add an extra touch of class and fun. However, if renting a sailboat seems a bit out of your price range, the groomsmen can get in touch with their primitive side by hiring someone to teach them the ins and outs of noodling catfish. Also known as hillbilly hand fishing, this sport is a favourite among those who want to brag about how they caught a fish their bare hands.
5. Poker night. This is classic party them that will never go out of style. If you are not able to plan an out of town trip for the buck’s party, then stay local and have a fun night of friendly poker. You don't have to make the stakes too high, just take it as an opportunity to have fun and hang out.
Remember that you don't want to do something you'll regret the next day, so as a rule, keep the bucks party tame and upbeat. Try to avoid anything that will cause injury or drastically alter the groom's appearance. The buck’s party is supposed to be a fun way to celebrate brotherhood, and it should not be a reason for a bride and groom to have an argument and call off the wedding.
