Naturally, people crave food to satisfy their hunger while others just want to gratify their taste buds and sometimes their emotions. Some opt to adjust their food intake whenever they feel that something wrong is going on with their system or physical condition. When one can learn how to love oneself, then you can have a healthy relationship with food. In this article, you will understand how you can treat food as a friend and not a foe.

Food as Foer
Many people with emotional problems use food to numb themselves from emotional pain, expecting that food can stifle loneliness, anger or rejection. But it is an unhealthy sign of over-eating, thus, in the end affecting their health. When stressed out, some resort to eating too much and making unhealthy food choices or even not eating at all, neither is healthy. Food becomes a foe when you find yourself abusing it.

Food as Friendr
Whether alone or in public, you can eat the right amount and the right choice of food by being proactive. Being proactive simply means that you need to plan ahead so that you can save yourself from any harm, over hunger, or bad habits. Carrying healthy snacks is a good choice, and also knowing and using tools like EFT when struggling with some emotional patterns. You know that raw foods are good for your body, but sometimes, you struggle to have a good relationship with food. Being proactive will keep you from too much eating and you will choose to stick to your plan. Moreover, you will avoid the consequences of being trapped to binge eating.

Listen to your hunger signals such as your internal cues of hunger and fullness versus your emotional needs. Listen to your body, take some deep breaths to get you in your body and, love yourself. Always, no matter what anyone has told you in the past, remember, that you deserve to love yourself!! In this way, you can start to be able to treat food as a friend and not a foe
