Preparation – what you will need:
Recommend you use organic ingredients if available.
Small ceramic or glass bowl
1 cup cane sugar, fine grain (exfoliating pore polish)
1-4 teaspoons favorite carrier oil, i.e. rose hip, light coconut, jojoba
1-3 drops pure essential oil
Sterilized instrument such as a stainless steel teaspoon
Substitute: 1 cup raw brown sugar (aggressive exfoliation)
Blend together your sugar and chosen carrier oil until thoroughly mixed.
Add your pure essential oil(s) to the mixture and blend thoroughly.
Add more carrier oil as desired to your ‘Sugar Scrub’ blend if you prefer a loose, wet action for your ‘Sugar Scrub.
Stand over a large bath towel as you begin to apply your sugar scrub.
Rub your skin gently, using upward sweeping strokes, start at your toes and work upwards to your abdomen. Then begin to stroke upwards from your fingers tips to your shoulders. Or alte
atively stand inside your dry shower or bath tub with bathmat to prevent slippage.
After finishing your extremities begin rubbing the ‘Sugar Scrub’ onto the front side of your torso and then your backside.
You can rinse off your “Sugar Scrub’ in a warm and soothing shower, or take a steaming hot bath afterwards.
After your ‘Sugar Scrub’ your skin will look lustrous and feel silky smooth!
PURE ESSENTIAL OILS TO USE & WHY
Patchouli- An excellent skin tonic oil Patchouli is often used in many synergistic skin care formulas. Its regulating properties act to tone and strengthen skin cell tissue, as well as regulate oily and combination skin conditions. Patchouli’s action is similar to Sandalwood for rejuvenating chapped, cracked, or mature and sensitive skin. As Patchouli essential oil has antiseptic properties it is also useful for controlling acne outbreaks.
