Forgive Others! It Is The "Name Of The Game!"

Forgiving other people is one of the most important things in this life! When we get angry at someone or have ill feelings towards them, for whatever the reason, the only one that this hurts is us!

Sometimes a friend, family member, or co-worker might make a joke, and it comes out wrong, and then we get offended. We then carry around this anger or these bad feelings for a long time, meanwhile, the person who was "only making a joke" to begin with, has long since forgotten all about the wisecrack. Wouldn't it make more sense for us to just "let it go" and get on with our life?

Maybe we have someone in our life who says or does something silly, stupid, or even wrong, and then we harbor bad feelings towards them because of it. Maybe we would be better off to just let that go as well! After all, people all make mistakes, and no one is perfect!

Forgiveness not only helps the person who needs (and deserves) forgiveness, but it also helps the person doing the forgiving! Think about it! How can we walk around upset with someone, usually over something petty, and meanwhile...WE ourselves have done or said things that others could have been upset about, but THEY chose to forgive us!?
