Obesity is becoming a big problem for many people worldwide, and is especially prevalent in western countries. Increasingly more people are dying from obesity related health problems, such as diabetes and high cholesterol! Luckily, there are a number of ways to reduce these excess fats and the best way is to target the types of foods you consume on a daily basis! Fruits and nuts are great for weight loss, and in this article, I am going to share with you some of the very best ones to help you lose weight.

On top of being able to help you lose weight, fruits also contain many essential vitamins. Additionally, they do not have any trans-fats or cholesterol, and are cheap to buy by the bulk! Fresh fruits are also usually very tasty, making it not only great for weight loss purposes, but also very palatable to our taste buds!

Nuts are high in proteins and low in carbohydrates. Similar to fruits, they contain good amounts of fibre, and will aid in making us feel full only with a small amount. This is a great way to curb our appetite.

So what are the some of the best fruits and nuts to eat for weight loss purposes?

The first fruit is apples! They are extremely high in fibre and are crunchy and sweet to the taste. Not only does apple help you keep the doctor away, it also helps you keep the extra fats away!

If you were to work out, bananas are a great food to provide you with energy as they are easily absorbed by the body to use as 'fuel' for your exercise routines! Also, they are high in fibre and do not contribute to potential fat gains.

Next of all, acidic fruits like oranges are useful in helping to increase your metabolism rate, therefore helping to burn more calories passively.

Some of my favourite nuts to eat to lose weight include baked almonds and unbleached pistachios. Both are extremely high in protein content, and low in fats and sodium.

Finally, I hope you understand that having occasional craving for snacks is perfectly normal and that there is no need to feel guilty about that. Just remember that the next time you get such a similar craving, just grab a fruit or a handful of healthy nuts and start munching away, instead of eating junk foods like chips or fries!
