In its relatively short history, the Internet has rapidly transformed from shared information to dynamic, interactive communication between people to people and businesses to people.

Virtually a mecca of marketing, the Internet affords great opportunities for product and service innovation, appeal and desire. Taken collectively, the opportunity to derive substantial revenue exists for everyone. However, there are so many who compete in product and service marketing spaces that standing out to draw people is not easy. The question then becomes, how do you build revenue for the passions that motivate you for revenue?

Your Primary Vehicle

Organic article marketing is a primary vehicle to attract people to your web site. Attracting people is your first step to making a sale of your product or service or as a potential royalty payment for reciprocal linking as an affiliate for someone else’s product or service.

Two Components

Organic article marketing consists of two vital components at its core; 1. Organic SEO article seeding, 2. Strategic website ranking. There are more sophisticated organic article marketing techniques outside the scope of this article.

Organic SEO Article Seeding

Organic SEO article seeding includes building your repository of professionally written articles on your web site relevant to your product or services you sell and promoting them to search engines. When your articles are professionally prepared by a seasoned SEO writer or writing service, each article will have primed target audience keywords and keyword use density along with on-point, informative, interesting, and grammatically correct content.

Keywords have to be researched for what use of words and word phrases result in thousands level of searched words per day. Such research is done with keyword search engine tools such as Google’s Adwords and Word Tracker.

An article summary specific to search engine optimization is then prepared and submitted to the search engines with the targeted keywords. Both the keywords and article content must align to maximize this organic article marketing component.

Strategic Website Ranking

Strategic website ranking relates to your website appearing in search results engines as close as possible to the first unsponsored entry on the first or second search results web page as a high-ranking web site. A high-ranking website is achieved by links to many other articles you have written related to your website’s product or service placed on other article directories or repositories, such as eZineArticles and Digg.com.

Again, you have two things going on here; more professionally written articles by or for you related to your subject matter of interest and the posting of these articles not on your web site but on other websites.

Extending Organic Article Marketing

In addition to article directory sites, you want your articles to be posted to special interest sites, such as subject matter forums, blogs, or community sites. For example, say you are selling an eclectic line of sporting goods. You would provide articles on eclectic sporting goods by sports category. For the sport of hockey, you would have articles on specialized equipment and post them to the article directories but also to hockey forums that you find that accept individual contributor articles.

From each posted article on every site outside your own, you link to your website for related reference articles. Likewise, you link to posted articles on websites other than your own from your website using a ‘Resources’ section on your web page. This reciprocal linking truly helps your ranking score making your article’s keywords hit high in the list of search results input by users hunting for information off their favorite search engine.

Once you generate traffic to your site, you will want to keep generating traffic. High demand articles and high keyword search words will ensure traffic continues to your web site.
