Since the right to marry is denied to homosexual couples, naccording to the concept of karma, they may have deniednequal rights to others in past lives. However, karma doesn'tnalways work that simply; there could be other reasons thei
unions aren't legally recognized. For example, a gay person'snsoul may have chosen to be in a position to stand up for hisnor her rights and help progress human consciousness in doingnso.
Homosexuals are using their free will, within the confines ofntheir destinies, to acquire equal civil rights, including thenright to get married. We'll have to wait and see if gay marriagenis destined to be legal.
Regarding the love timing of homosexuals compared tonheterosexuals, there is no difference. Everyone goes throughntheir own unique time cycles, some wonderful for romanticninvolvement, some not so wonderful. Does the denial of thenright to marry show up in a gay person's charts? No, it doesn't.
However, denial of financial benefits or other rights (such asnwith the case of the death of a partner) would clearly be seennin the charts. Significant loss of collective net worthn(involving inheritance/estate taxes, etc.) and the absence ofnother related benefits (those afforded to heterosexual marriedncouples) greatly hindering standard of living are the types ofnchallenging circumstances most definitely reflected inncomprehensive numerology and astrology analyses.
According to human rights advocates, the issue of gay marriagenis a civil rights issue and since gay couples are deniednbenefits that straight married couples enjoy, they are beingndiscriminated against. Gay and civil rights advocates saynproposed constitutional amendments go well beyond the DOMAn(Defense of Marriage Act, signed by President Clinton in 1996)nand marks a new level of discrimination.
Never has an amendment been passed to deny the rights of
Americans. It seems reasonable to think that all those who putnenergy into passing this amendment would incur some negativenkarma in relation to human rights. Consequently, if thisnamendment passes (unlikely according to many politicalnexperts) this country (via its’ leaders and public support ofnthose leaders) would also undoubtedly adopt some negativenkarma. Under this philosophy, it’s possible to envision ancountry far in the future, populated with the same characters, nthat is denied rewards and prosperity from a more powerfulnentity as a karmic backlash.
Since it's perfectly legal in America to be gay and in ancommitted relationship, denying the right to marry tonhomosexuals may eventually be seen by all as the samenas racial or religious discrimination. Discrimination in anynway, shape or form ultimately has everything to do withnintolerance.
Speaking of intolerance, religious leaders like Jerry Falwellnhave rigorously campaigned in America to permanently denynmarriage and all the legal benefits (over 500 in all) tonhomosexuals who want a legal marital commitment. A fewnyears ago, Falwell was interviewed on a national TV newsnshow about the topic of gay marriage. His primary argumentsnagainst it were, “...it's against Christian tenants...”nand “...if we open the door to gay marriage in this country, nwe'll have to deal with polygamy and bestiality too.” Falwellnmay be creating a date with destiny in a future lifetime wherenhe is denied his basic human rights...in the name of religion.
Maybe it's best to accept the resistance towards equality andnfai
ess and see it as part of the necessary alignment ofnenergies. Polarity is integral to our universe. There can't bencops without criminals and there can't be light withoutndarkness. Everyone appears to be fulfilling their earthlynmission, no matter how disrespectful, selfish, or intolerantnthey may seem. The best everyone can do is to compassionatelynand peacefully stand up for what they believe in and their basicnhuman rights.
