When you hear the words, inner peace, what do you think? Maybe the term conjures up images of a monk sitting in a cave at the top of a lonely mountain, or a group of people sitting in meditation for hours and hours a day. What’s it really mean, though. What is this elusive thing called “inner peace?” According to Wikipedia:
“Inner peace (or peace of mind) refers to a state of being mentally and spiritually at peace, with enough knowledge and understanding to keep oneself strong in the face of discord or stress.”¹
Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, emphasizes the importance of inner peace in the world:
“The question of real, lasting world peace conce
s human beings, so basic human feelings are also at its roots. Through inner peace, genuine world peace can be achieved.”²
Inner peace is an important aspect of anyone’s life if they want to live in the world happily and successfully. It’s also important, as the Dalai Lama says, if we really want to make some real and lasting changes in our world, and if we’re really committed to creating a lasting peace.
It’s all about feeling good on the inside, feeling aligned and calm, confident and secure in knowing who you are. With the right tools, it’s a way of being that is accessed and maintained at any time, at will. Having the ability to access an inner state of calm and well-being allows you to go through life able to meet and handle anything and everything that comes your way and creates a state of confidence and serenity.
Life isn’t always a straight path to your desires. Things can and do go wrong and when you have the ability to remain calm, centered and peaceful within those times can be managed and dealt with and a new course set without unnecessary drama and turmoil. I know, I’ve been through my share of things going wrong and I’ve been in enough drama and turmoil to know that it’s not my preferred way to handle life.
One of my main goals in life has been to create a state of inner peace that I could access whenever and wherever I want. Reiki and meditation have been great teachers for me, which is one of the reasons I want to share what I’ve learned with you. I’ve spent years studying and practicing and it took me years to get a handle on inner peace but it doesn’t have to take you as long.
To help you get there as easily as possible, I’ve created a meditation to help you reach a state of inner peace. This is something you can use whenever you want to get into a state of peace and calm. You can use it in the morning before you start your day, at night before you go to sleep or anytime during the day when you want to realign and relax. Through continued use, and in a relatively short time, you’ll be able to access the state of inner peace on your own.
Please don’t listen to the meditation while you’re driving or operating any kind of machinery. You need to close your eyes for this and that’s just not a good thing to do while you’re driving.
The main goal of meditation, and what helps meditation be successful, is entering the alpha or theta brainwave states. At these levels of brain activity, you’re deeply relaxed and able to accept and readily retain new information. I’ve combined some state of the art audio technology in this new meditation to help you reach these deep levels of meditation quickly and easily.
