It’s a giant trampoline with a basketball hoop inside of it. I had no idea how much my kids would love that trampoline. They are on that thing every time they are at my parents’ house.
This trampoline is a kid magnet. They never get bored with it. Once they go in, they stay in forever. Why? Because it makes them feel good. It’s a big wow factor. That trampoline makes them feel like they have super jumping powers. What kid doesn’t like the feeling of jumping up to the sky?
That got me thinking. I deal with ROI (return on your investment) all of the time when I work with entrepreneurs. It’s always good to shoot for the best bang for your buck. So, what is the least amount of money you can spend in your business that can give your buyers that wow factor — to make them feel like they are a kid on a trampoline? That’s the type of ROI I am talking about.
You’re a business owner. You want more clients and more sales. You want to make more moolah. You know you need to differentiate yourself. You want an edge. So you create a marketing plan or you launch a referral campaign, or you do a joint venture with someone who serves the same market you do. This is all good stuff. But you are missing one key thing.
The way you make your clients feel is what makes your biz go en fuego. You want your customers to feel that wow factor when they buy from you. If your customers feel amazing, they will keep buying from you. They are going to tell their friends, and then it goes on Facebook, and the key influencers get excited – and on and on.
Think about this for a sec. It always comes back to the feelings. How are you making your customers feel? I am challenging you right here – to think strategically about what you can do to wow the heck out of your tribe of buyers.
Do stuff that they aren’t expecting at all. Do the stuff that no one else is doing.
Spy on your competition. What are they up to? Same old same old, right?
So, what are you up? I hope your answer isn’t a whole lot of nothing. Let’s get original. Crazy. Wild. Different. Distinct. Cool. Wow factor. Like jumping to the sky on a trampoline.
