Relief is just a sniff away. Aromatic essential oils are among the oldest and most powerful therapeutic agents known giving them an important role in the prevention and management of influenza as well as other diseases. The broad-spectrum antibacterial and healing action of therapeutic grade oils (as opposed to perfume quality) has been documented by modern day researchers. Essential oils have the ability to penetrate cell membranes, travel throughout the blood and tissues, and enhance electrical frequencies all within minutes.
As we experience the relief oils bring to winter blahs it becomes clear that the powerful life force inherent in many plant extracts gives them an unmatched ability to communicate and interact with cells in the human body. Apply thyme to the thymus point on the feet or cinnamon and cistus over the thymus area. Because of the high phenol content of these oils, dilute them with a carrier oil before applying to the skin. (Diluting is usually not necessary when applied to the bottoms of the feet.) Clove, eucalyptus, fir, melaleuca, myrtle, orange, peppermint, rosemary, thyme and wild tansy may be used as analgesics, decongestants, and for their anti-catarrhal and immune stimulating properties. For joint aches and pains associated with flu apply birch/wintergreen, fir, cypress or helichrysum.
People who use pure essentials oils have a higher level of resistance to illnesses, colds, flu, and other diseases. Oils are much safer than flu shots which can contain formaldehyde, thimerosal (mercury derivative), and aluminum.
To lift your spirits and brighten your mood use lavender, cedarwood, frankincense, rose, sandalwood or orange.
Whether you are striving to guard against catching colds or flu, relieve symptoms of such ailments, or to cheer up on a gloomy day, your trusty Whiffer™ Aroma Pendant filled with a few drops of Young Living Essential Oil will come to the rescue.
