Which is better tea or coffee, the debate is as old as the drinks themselves-tea and coffee are both stimulants, consumed as a breakfast drink and are considered as an aid in weight loss.
Both come with their own set of benefits. Green tea and green coffee are wildly popular around the world and it is difficult to say which is better -tea or coffee. Fitness freaks avoid regular tea or coffee with milk and sugar and prefer switching to green drinks.
This is important for you, what are green tea and green coffee?
Green tea is extracted from the stems, buds, and leaves of the plant known as ‘Camellia sinensis’, especially the leaves that have not undergone the same oxidation or the withering that black tea leaves have. Green tea has polyphenols, which offer several health benefits.
While green coffee beans are unroasted, they contain an abundance of Chlorogenic Acids. Chlorogenic acid is a major ingredient which is responsible for the weight loss effect; it promotes the loss of fat by increasing the activity of a gene which is involved in the fatty -acid transport and oxidation. Also, it reduces the creation of new fat cells, due to its anti-oxidant effects.
The green beans of coffee work by reducing absorption of glucose and calories which decreases the output of insulin and cuts down the formation of adipose or fat tissues. To be short, it works as a catalyst for oxidation of fat.
As per a survey, people who are taking green coffee for weight loss are having quicker results than people drinking green tea.
Green coffee beans extract also promotes brain health because of its impact on a protein known as brain neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which plays a key role in learning, behavior, and memory. It reduces weight by increasing energy expenditure by 4%, also it oxidizes the fat by 17%, this means that green coffee boosts metabolic rate. Chlorogenic acid in green coffee inhibits the release of G6P enzyme that controls the blood sugar levels and lowers the risk of type 2 diabetes.
Studies have found that the presence of a very powerful and active ingredient in green coffee beans-Chlorogenic acid has positive impacts on the blood vessels that prevent platelets from clustering, as a result of which arteries do not harden and circulation of blood improves largely which means it protects the heart from heart-related problems.
Though green tea and green coffee, have almost the same health benefits and helps in weight loss. But if you have to consume either one for weight loss exclusively, then go for green coffee. Weight loss results begin to appear much faster when you have green coffee, this helped people to manage weight without heavy workouts and crash diets.
