Natural panic attack cures can help to alleviate many of the symptoms associated with a panic attack. A panic attack comes on quite unexpectedly and usually at the most inconvenient times. The attack may include intense anxiety, fear and discomfort associated with symptoms such as:nn• Heart palpitationsn• Shortness of breathn• Tremblingn• Tingling sensationsn• Hyperventilationn• A feeling of impending doomn• NauseannIf you have experienced at least four of these symptoms, you are probably experiencing a panic attack. In most cases, the panic attack will reach its peak within about ten minutes; however, you may still feel somewhat anxious and even exhausted for the next several hours. nnSeveral natural panic attack cures can be utilized to address the symptoms of a panic attack. When you first feel a panic attack coming on, try to shift your thoughts and concentration to something pleasant and relaxing. Carrying scenting oils with you may also help as well. Recent studies indicate that certain aromas has the ability to help you feel more relaxed. Experiment with different scents until you find one or two that helps you to feel more relaxed and then make a point to keep these scents with you at all times. nnIn addition, when possible, try to keep moving while you are experiencing a panic attack. The most common reaction is to sit down; however, this is usually the worst thing you can do. This is because when you are experiencing a panic attack, your body is producing massive amounts of adrenaline. You need to be able to burn off some of that adrenaline in order to start reducing the panic attack. Take a brisk walk to assist in the process. nnTaking deep, relaxing breaths is also helpful in a panic attack. Hyperventilation is a common problem in most panic attacks. To combat this problem, try taking deep breaths. Make sure your shoulders are straight and you are breathing from your diaphragm. Slowly breathe in and out by expanding and then contracting your stomach. nnDistraction also tends to work well for many people. This is because as you experience a panic attack, your mind tends to feel as though it is racing around. You may also feel as though you are being bombarded with negative thoughts. Make a conscious effort to distract yourself. Counting backwards starting from one hundred can be helpful as can reciting the alphabet backwards. Basically, anything that will direct your attention from the panic attack and onto something else will help you to calm down faster and end the panic attack as quickly as possible. nnPanic attacks cannot usually be cured overnight. You will need to spend some time working at stopping your attacks and uncovering the root cause of your panic attacks in order to completely stop them. Following these natural panic attack cures; however, can help you to begin quickly making progress. n
