Habits vs Thoughts

There is a lot of literature about the kinds of emotions and their implications. You must have seen people with positive and negative emotions. You also observe that sometimes we are high in one emotion and low in the other. We keep on changing our mood and emotion as well.
When we continue falling in a sequence for a pretty much long time, our emotion becomes our habit. For example, one feels sad after being ignored by someone. Every day this experience or event happens and everyday one feels shattered, lonely and segregated. After a long time, maybe 20 years, one is not aware of the fact that he is used to feel sad. It is difficult to understand. But the truth is that when one is not hurt by someone on a particular day, he or she will try to be hurt to feel sad. Being sad is now a kind of habit and one must feel like that in order to keep him in sequence.
Think about your habits and think how you got them. Would you leave them easily? Will it be possible for you to quit silently? No. You will find it very difficult to leave your habits. Thinking in a particular way is also a kind of habit that we are used to. So on a good morning, even after having a lot of good events, we are not that much happy because we have been used to feel sorry for long. And we need some more practice to feel happy. We need lots of good experience to change our mindset and think differently. We need a continuous pattern to follow for a long time to change our mood.
Similarly to feel positive, we need to think positive for a long time. If we are negative in our mind, we cannot be positive in one trial. We need to do positive things a lot in combination with positive thoughts so that we become positive forever. So thinking positive is a kind of habit that some of us cannot leave. And thinking negatively is another kind of habit that we cannot leave easily. We have to work on it consistently, persistently and with determination. Once we change our attitude for a long time, we become used to think that way. Then even if we encounter a negative event in our life, we try hard to mold it into a positive event and ultimately succeed in convincing ourselves that it is positive. Strange… but it's true. We are slaves of our habits and habits prove themselves strongly irrespective of their nature – physical or cognitive. If we want to change our habits, we need to replace them with habits only. Otherwise the change might not take place.
In short, the mindset or a set of beliefs determines our thought pattern and following that pattern for a long time, will cause us to follow it blindly. Thus we will become used to it. If these habits are negative, we need lots of new, encouraging and stimulating experiences in a line to convince us to think differently forever to change our mindset and attitude as well.
