Hang Gliding in Miami…

I know you must be wondering as to why I have given a title related to hang gliding while detailing my experiences in Miami. This is because the high point of my trip in Miami was the experimental hang gliding tour that I undertook which gave me a chance to float in mid- air; something that I have dreamt of all my life. In Miami, I had the chance to realize my childhood dream. Our tour itinerary to Miami was basically taken care of by our travel agent whom my wife had picked after a bit of web surfing. And he turned out to be quite responsible and gave us a list of economical offers out of which we choose the 3N/4D package that took care of return flights to Miami, accommodation, meals and included a sightseeing tour of the city. The dates chosen for the trip coincided with our kids winter vacations so we were lucky that way. After a tiring nine hour flight on an American Airlines flight we reached the Miami Inte ational Airport and checked into our hotel. Thoroughly tired, we rested for a day and gave our bodies the much needed rest to get out of the jet lag and enjoyed the hearty full course meals offered to us through the day. The next day we were recharged and refreshed and our informed tour guide took us to a tour of places like Bayside Marketplace, Miccosukee Indian Village, Deering Estate and the Miami Seaquarium which offered interesting insights into Miami’s rich marine life. We were also taken to a tour of Parrot Jungle Island, where we could see thousands of parrots in a wide variety of colors and hues. Monkey Island was our next stop after Parrot Jungle Island and as expected we saw quite a few species of rnmonkeys in this place. My kids really loved the visit to both Parrot and Monkey island and were clamoring to visit the place again. But I had better plans for them. The next day we took them to a tour of Miami’s famous beaches like South Beach, Sunny Isles, Bal Harbour, Haulover, Surfside where we all could indulge in some water sports and enjoyed to the fullest. Miami in simple words stands for unlimited fun and adventure and if you are also an adventure freak then this should be your holiday destination next winter.
