In the previous article, I talked about the Unconscious Limiting Belief that Money Creates Happiness. Now let’s look at the flip side.
The belief that money makes you unhappy is just as common as the belief that it makes you happy. I’m sure you can think of numerous examples of people who had tons of money and miserable lives. The problem is equating the money with the misery. Money doesn’t make people happy or unhappy. What it can do is highlight our personalities because it allows us to inject those personalities more powerfully in the material world.
Think about what sort of negative messages you picked up at home, school and religious institutions about money. Here are a few examples: The love of money is the root of all evil. Rich people are mean. People with money have lousy relationships. Poor people are more spiritual. How have those ideas about money impacted your ability to create the lifestyle you want, or to enjoy the money you have?
