A few days ago, I watched Tony Robbins do his thing in a documentary created by Netflix. If you have not seen it, you need to. It is powerful.
OK, so I must admit, I am currently in between pain and no pain in a hotel in Turkey so I watched, dozed, watched, dozed the whole way through but overall, the message came through…
And the message was this…
IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT ME OR YOU!
And as I am talking to you, I will keep it simple by saying “IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT YOU!”
Because there were people there, who had all kinds of stories…
Stories that they did not tell anyone…
Stories that they dealt with day in, day out…
Stories that affected the way they acted…
Stories that if you heard, you would wonder how they even kept moving forward…
And you, leader, with your message to heal, teach, speak, coach have something that could literally transform their world…
Literally!
And you tell me that the reason you don’t put it out there is because you don’t know how…
You don’t have the money…
You don’t have the time…
You don’t think anyone cares what you have to say…
You just are not sure that you have what it takes…
And so on and so forth…
There was a woman there that sold everything she had to attend this 6 day conference with this man who she had only recently heard of, because at the age of 26, she had been brought up in some crazy religious cult (And you already know what I think of religion!) where from birth she had been told that the only love she could experience and the only way she could serve ‘God” was by giving her body from birth to anyone that wanted it…
And at age 12, she had decided there had to be another path and tried to take her family with her but she could not carry this burden by herself any longer. She was 26.
She looked like a regular person…
She could be walking right past you every single day…
She could be looking at your FB page every day…
Someone like her, could be looking for someone to support her…
Would she find it in you?
And this is no guilt fest - remember I am about freedom…
Not every story we come across will be this big…
But it just helped me see that if we just stripped off all of our crazy hangups and we got to the heart of our message, we want to help people, right?
And yes, we want to have a great time on the way to all that…
But ultimately it about the need t inside of us to love our fellow people…
The people we are specifically called to serve…
The money will follow when we start to love…
WE will figure out all the details when we start to love…
We will be fulfilled when we start to love…
Leader, get over everything else…
Get over yourself…
And today, love someone!
Love them any old how…
And that is all I have the energy to type today!
Please feel my love!
And fight for, deliberately design the life you are born to live…
Because deep down, YOU REALLY DO WANT TO!
