When asked about their opinion about exercising, most people say that they do not like exercising, and even consider it as a form of torture! This is possibly due to them falling prey to myths about exercise. Changing your thinking and mind-set towards exercising and you may experience weight loss sooner than you think!

If you hate something, it will be very difficult to motivate yourself to complete that activity. For example, if you like tennis or badminton instead, It is a lot easier to motivate yourself to go and engage in one to two hours of intensive sports. This way, you can fit a quick workout into your daily schedule. The problem with people is that they are simply too lazy and not determined enough to achieve their goal - losing weight. If you are really serious about achieving your goal, you will definitely be able to think of ways and means to make exercise fun.

Scientists and doctors are increasingly learning that short bursts of exercises are much better than long exercise periods. By keeping your exercise intensity levels high and shorter than 40 minutes each time, you will be able to actually increase your metabolism rate by a greater proportion, and thus burn more fats. This should be great news for many people who are trying to lose weight but do not have the time or willpower to exercise several times a week! Do not get me wrong, if you have plenty of time to exercise, and you prefer running long distances, you can continue doing so, but it is not very effective for fat loss, and additionally, it is also very boring. To make exercises a daily habit, it is best to keep your workouts short. This way it will be easier to motivate yourself to keep up with your active lifestyle.

On top of exercising, there are many other things you can be incorporating into your daily lifestyle to help you burn more calories. Wherever possible, choose to take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. It may seem ridiculous to do so at times, but if you are really serious about losing weight, then you should do so.

Also, opt to walk or cycle to places rather than driving. It is all about becoming more active and adopting a healthy lifestyle. It requires a change in your mind-set and lifestyle, and the first step to do so will be to focus on your goal each and every single day. That way, your amazing mind will think of all ways and means to achieve it.
