Do you feel stressed out and tired when you get home from work, don't feel like playing with the kids, or walking the dog etc? Maybe you've had a hard day's shopping, it's cold and wet outside, and you just want to slip into a hot bath and DO NOTHING for the rest of the evening. Sounds lovely... You're not alone, most people , including me, just want to crash out on the sofa in front of the TV and RELAX... But did you know, a little moderate exercise first, can actually make you feel better than just stretching out on your sofa or in your bath. If you can spare 30 minutes for a little exercise, 4 or 5 days a week, you will be amazed at how invigorated and sharper you feel, both physically and mentally! If you're not used to any exercise at all, start with 15 minutes and work your way up. Don't hurt yourself. Some of the benefits of regular exercise include a more positive mindset, a confidence in your ability to achieve more, and a general feeling of energy and "wellness". I know, you haven't got time today because you've got dinner to cook / you're going out with friends / there's my favorite TV show on tonight... So try it in the morning! It's very easy to talk yourself out of making that initial effort and actually starting to get fitter, "tomorrow" turns into "next week", which turns into "next month", and so on until a year later it might be a forgotten resolution. Here are some suggestions to get you going... 1. Go out for a walk. The fresh air and sunlight will do you the power of good, especially if you have access to a nice park or some countryside. Take the dog or a friend if you need the company, and burn those extra calories off together. Trust me, you will get used to it, start enjoying it, and look forward to it! 2. Try sports. Maybe a game of golf or tennis appeals to you, you don't have to kill yourself, but the competition might make your exercise more interesting and provide some variety. There are clubs in most areas where you can get a game if you have nobody to go with, and you can make new friends too! 3. Discover Yoga. A wonderful exercise regime for body and mind! A few minutes of Yoga exercises can raise your spirits and set you up for the whole day... Or recharge your batteries after a long, hard day. It's not hard to learn the basics, and you can gradually work your way up to a higher level at your own pace. 4. Household activities. Even some extra effort put into your everyday tasks will help you be healthy and fitter, such as mowing the lawn, or raking up leaves etc. Try listening to music through your ipod while vacuuming, and put some extra oomph into it! It works wonders, and you don't even realize you are trying! You owe it to yourself to enjoy your life more (which you will), feel positive (you will), and feel far healthier, active, and younger (you will)... You just need to make that first step... AND START! Why Not take a look at our Total Wellness Package, you'll love it!

I was watching my six and nine year old daughters playing the other morning when suddenly there was a barrage of I Hate You and I Don't Like You Anymore statements flying about the room. Of course, it was just a moment of disagreement in child play, but the thoughts and feelings were real enough to them at that moment.
