The condition of the blood determines the health of the arteries.
Everything you eat and breathe end up in your blood. For the most part you have
complete control over the health of your blood.
How to improve your blood –
Aerobic Exercise is a major help
• Brisk walking, bicycle riding, mountain biking, cross-country or downhill skiing, tennis, racquetball, basketball, swimming, even low impact aerobics, More Oxygen – Cleaner blood.
• Don’t over work yourself – only moderate levels of exercise are needed for about 30 minutes per day three to five times per week.
• Exercise increases HDL (high-density lipoprotein), which is the good cholesterol and decreases your risk of a heart attack. Even strolling for 20 min. three to four times per week increases HDL according to a study done in 1991 by the American Medical Asoc.
• Exercise lowers triglyceride levels keeping your blood less likely to sludge.
• Exercise and live longer – American Medical Assoc. 1989 study of 13,344 people found that the people who exercised the least died the soonest. Living long is one thing but living healthy for a long time is another thing.
• It’s only necessary to raise your heart rate for 15 min. per day walking about four miles per hour.
Reduce the f.r.e.e radicals in your systemr
Start by reducing excess iron
• New evidence has shown that excess iron in the body encourages the formation of f.r.e.e radicals.
• Just as steel/metal is oxidized by oxygen over time will rust so will excess iron in our body has a similar effect. As we age we accumulate iron in our bodies and there is no real way for our bodies to get rid of it.
• Men accumulate more iron then woman until after menopause.
• Actually the only way to get rid of accumulated iron in our bodies is to give blood. If you don’t get rid of accumulated iron it will sit in our systems just waiting to cause trouble.
• F.r.e.e Radicals are fueled by iron and can be the spark that sets off a heart attack OR cancer.
• Yes we do need iron just like all the other macro-nutrients but most people have iron overload more then iron deficiency.
