Thank God He created us with the ability to taste and smell and that He put such delightful flavors and aromas into the food He has appointed for us to eat. But even if we didn't enjoy it, we would still have to eat. Fitness and healthy living cannot be attained without the exercise of one's will. An overweight person cannot be fit and healthy just be watching TV all day and expecting to wake up slim the next morning. Fitness and healthy living requires a lot of effort and involves many decision-making opportunities. One must be really determined to improve his diet and religiously follow exercise routines to be able to resist temptations that may go along the way.

When it comes to healthy living, diet and exercise are two sides of the same coin. If we want the best which our bodies can offer, we don't just need the right fuel in the right quantities, but we need to give the motor a good run. A proper diet is one which combines the optimum level and type of nutrition with regular and frequent exercise.

Small amounts of fresh vegetables (about a cup a day) are an important additional source of vitami
C and other nutrients. Parsley, romaine lettuce (rather than iceberg, which has less nutritional value and may result in loose stools if given in excess), a small piece of carrot, tomato, green or red pepper, spinach, and cantaloupe are popular choices. Begin by slowly increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables that you eat on a daily basis, and before you know it, you'll be eating the proper amount of fresh foods.
