When you are a unique, creative individual it is likely that you will take pride in your identity. Determine what would make you happier and as long as it is healthy, implement it. Have fun with your identity and express yourself with style, office and home décor and don't worry about others. When you feel that you are what you want to be you are on your way to self improvement.

As the saying goes, before you can love anyone else, you must learn to love yourself. This is true because you come before others and how can you love them if you do not love yourself? Try to focus on the good things about yourself rather than the negative, and remember, no one is perfect!

A great tip that can help you with your self improvement goals, is to search the internet for information. The internet is ripe with information regarding everything you can think of. There are countless web sites and forums that offer help and insight, to those who look for it.

Stay motivated and stress free with exercise. Exercise is a great stress reliever but most people have a hard time getting into a groove with it. Work in small steps daily to build up a daily routine. Have a friend that exercises with you and keeps you motivated, to help you to continue.

When working toward a large self improvement goal, it's best to break up the goal into smaller goals that are easier to reach. For instance, if want to get organized you may find it helpful to focus on one area at a time. Start with your desk and when that space is clear set another goal. It's easy to get overwhelmed. So, make your goals moderate and stay motivated.

Your thoughts are your angels or your demons when it comes to developing who you are and who you want to be. You need to be aware of your thoughts, minute by minute, and as you find yourself thinking negatively, train yourself to reassess what is going on and find something positive to think about.

"Can't" should not be in your vocabulary. Take it out now. Any time you think you "can't" do something, try to come up with five reasons why you can't, and then remember YES YOU CAN!! It might take longer in the beginning to get used to this idea, but in the end, you will wonder why you ever thought you couldn't.

If you find that you are not keeping your cool in a particular situation, stop and take a personal time out. Stopping and counting to ten is going to give you the chance to think about what you are going to say or do next and can help you to avoid making the wrong move.

Discovering who you are as an individual can be one of the hardest things to do in life - self improvement or not. Experimentation and self-expression are essential to be successful in becoming your own. Once you begin identifying with what works for you when expressing yourself you will become more confident and happy. Enjoy and love yourself!!
