The Himalayas is a paradise for hikers "closer to nature and exploring the flora and fauna. A trip to here gives you a unique opportunity where man is lost in a calm and peaceful environment away from the noise, pollution and concrete jungles of cities. What makes a great trip in the Himalayas? Good weather, good views of snowy peaks, good people around you, good food and shelter when needed etc, and also things like the balanced combination of adventure and security in their journey and of course, the cost of the walk. All these things have to meet your needs. The good news is that, with the right skills can make your trip in the Himalayas to hit the target and meet your expectations as closely as possible. A little preparation goes a long way! You want to be in the right place at the right time. Definitely do not want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. As a quick look on trekking in the Himalayas, it is better for beginners to start below 4000 meters in winter, just go in the Trans-Himalayan region in summer (to stay away from the monsoon) and otherwise enjoy your trekking in the spring and fall, which are generally measured as best season. You do not want to be under equipped and you do not want to be over-equipped either. Remember, you have to carry all your stuff yourself, or pay someone to do it. If it's going to rain, you may not need a poncho! On the other hand, if it will snow, you may want to bring a warm jacket and / or a sleeping bag. Carry along with only necessary materials that are necessary for the journey. The Himalayas spreads across six countries namely - West to East: Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Tibet (China) and Bhutan. You can probably quickly rule number 1 and 2 in this list due to security issues, war and terrorism. Maybe it will change in the future, but for now (2009) there are better options. Trekking in India is a much better option. It's easy to get visas, flights, hotels, transport, etc. The Indian Himalayas has many cities and towns are connected by road and can be used as trail heads for the start of a walk. Walking can be done as independent camping or hiking guide and porters. There are many travel company that offer trekking packages in India.rnTrekking in Nepal is another great option. Contrary to India, Nepal hosts often hiking along the trails, making it necessary for you to carry any camping equipment and hire porters. This makes it very easy trekking in Nepal. The downside is that since it is so little popular trekking trails can sometimes be a bit packed. It's nothing like Grand Central Station, of course, but just do not have that feeling of being by you in the rough country. Trekking in Tibet and Bhutan has one thing in common: All visits must be made through a government recognized trekking agency. No independent trekking permits in these two Himalayan countries. While pre walks are often more expensive, makes everything very easy for you with a guide. Trekking in the Himalayas is a breathtaking adventure that takes you by one of the most magical regions of the Earth. The trails through this range have traveled for hundreds of years and trekking here you can experience an amazing sight after another.
