Measure of Faith

Does the quantity of your faith (how much you have) determine the quantity of your results (success)?

If it does, and I believe it does, how do we get some more of it ... and faith in what?

"And the apostles said to the Lord, "'Increase our faith!'" And the Lord said, "'If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, "''Be up-rooted and be planted in the sea''"; and it would obey you."--Luke 17:5-6

Brian Tracy, one of the world's leading authorities on personal and business success has done extensive research on this belief concept and to paraphrase ... he states that the level of your success has an exact relationship to your faith, or belief in your success. I wanted to capitalize the word "exact". He goes so far as discussing your doubts. To the exact degree that you doubt your success, that is to the exact degree that your success will be.

I interpret this implication to mean that you must detail your success to the most tiny aspect (word description, color picture, drawn out plan, continued updating). This foresight work will materialize with the necessary action tied to it.

Your doubt is the limiting variable. "Your Goals, minus your Doubts, equal your Reality."--Ralph S. Marston, Jr. Remember it this way

As your faith increases, the lives of others in your life (company) will be enhanced, building them up with you, from your gifts ... the opportunities you project, be they verbal, written or electronic mail.

It doesn't really take much faith to make things happen.

Fight the Good Fight!

"This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made conce
ing you, that by them you may fight the good fight, keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith."
--1Timothy 1:18-19

The testing of your faith is an outstanding way to create patience as part of your personal growth journey. You can test your faith quite easily by simply setting an important goal and not quitting prior to having reached it.

The following Five Principles will help you to measure your faith:

1) Faith alone accomplishes nothing: It must be coupled with action.

2) The greater the faith that you act on, the greater will be the outcome.

3) Don't expect more without putting something of substance to work.

4) Faith increases when we exercise it.

5) It doesn't take much to make things happen, but nothing will happen without it (Nothing happens all the time).

Faith is made complete through action. So exercise your faith and you will more fully contribute to the world.
