Dear friend, life is perception through the eyes of the beholder. Your experience with or belief in will determine to a great extent the way you will view life in the present and in the future. Your attitude is either the stumbling block or the key to your success.

Success is a very individual pursuit. Success, for me, is the way you spend your time doing the best for yourself and others. It is the way you take the gifts, talents and abilities that you were born with, and adding the knowledge and skills that you have since developed, using them fully toward a purpose that makes you feel worthwhile according to your own individual internal standards.

What the mind dwells upon the body acts upon. Mental obsessions do have physical manifestations. You do become that which you fear. You get what you suspect. You are that which you expect to be. This power of the self-fulfilling prophecy is one of the most amazing phenomena of human nature.

What do you expect for yourself? You should expect the best. The achievers in life, believing in the self-fulfilling prophecy, keep their momentum moving upwards, by expecting better relationships, good health and well-being, more money, better friendships, financial security, better family relationships and success.

Achievers are driven by desire. They do become what they think about most. They are moved every day by their current dominant thoughts. They move in the direction of that which they dwell on.

Achievers move in the direction of the goals they have set and they will tolerate few or no distractions from moving toward those goals. In the face of all discouragement and setbacks, this inner drive keeps them moving upward toward self-fulfillment.

The achievers in life respond positively to life challenges. They have learned how to concentrate on the desired results rather than possible problems and they dwell on the rewards of success and not the penalties of failure.

Achievers know that all of their actions will be controlled by their currently dominant thoughts and you can’t dwell on the reverse of an idea. That’s why you can’t lose weight, if you keep thinking about how fat you are, and that’s why you can’t become wealthy if you are worried about your bills.

Success in life is not reserved for the talented, it’s not in a high IQ and not in a gift at birth and it’s not always in ability or the best equipment. Success is almost totally dependent upon drive and persistence, finding the extra energy required to make another effort, using a different approach, taking on a new task. How do you measure YOUR SUCCESS?

Until next time, make this a week one in which you are living your life to the fullest.
With appreciation and gratituder
