How Our Emotions Effect Our Health And How To Control That

Our emotions have a powerful effect on our body, giving it all sorts of stress related illnesses.
Our mind creates our emotions. What we think is happening is the beginning of our emotional responses. Emotions begin with an event that we interpret, thus all emotions begin with the thoughts that are our interpretation and opinions based on our automatic habitual responses to certain events.
We all know that everyone responds at times inappropriately to a situation because they have misinterpreted it. Sometimes it is so clear we cannot comprehend how anyone could have gotten it so wrong. The reason is the automatic habitual responses which are not emotional. Habits are intellectual because we have to learn something by repeating it enough times and train our mind to respond in that way.
We spend the second half of our lives ruled by the habits we formed in the first half.
If we want to change our automatic responses, we need to change our fixed opinions which are the foundation of our habitual responses.
Teach a child that if someone says they like you, that means they like you. And if someone says bad things about you, that also means they like you. That child will never be upset or hurt by anyone. Sadly we are not taught that, even though we know it is often true.
When young boys and girls tease each other, that is because they like each other. When adults put other people down, usually it is because they are jealous, and thus admire the other person.
What we must do is start to see the hidden reality of what people are really saying and feeling, and then you will have a different reaction.
Begin with the desire to change your habitual responses to always seeing everything as positive, that you will see everything in positive light as funny or a joke. Eventually you form the habit of never getting insulted or hurt by anything anyone says to or about you. It is a matter of choosing your habitual response and forming that new habit.
We really are nothing more than trained dogs. If you accept this objective truth, you can become your own master and teach yourself new tricks.
We can think our body into health or illness, but the intellect that thinks is a much slower and less guaranteed effect than the power our emotions have over our body. Thus repeating words is not going to do anything, but feelings can have very quick effects.
If you want to change your physical health, for better or worse, you must do it through emotions. As i said previously, our emotions are a product of our intellect. By changing our automatic habitual responses to those things which currently upset or stress us, we will have the power to change our health and life.
What you think is what you will feel. Watch what you think. If you cannot watch your thoughts, then train your lower ego, the animal self, to respond to certain thoughts in a new way.
