Our quality of life is very much dependent on our attitude in life. Hence, whether it is by choice or by circumstances, what you are today and how you feel is the result of your attitude in life.
Think of people you know who have terrible attitude? Are they extremely negative and pessimistic, do they always complained about life? Their life is probably in a doldrums and they never seem to be happy. Do you feel depressed and draining to be in the presence of negative people? Soon you could start to have negative thoughts too and it will attract negative occurrences in your life.
The law of attraction states that what you focus on, you are attracting into your life. When you have a positive attitude on life, you will eventually attract the positive things in life.
How does it work?
Thinking positive means you are unfazed by life’s obstacle. In fact, you will not see it as an obstacle but an opportunity. As you wake up every morning with a smile in your face and look forward to the rest of the day with gusto, you will attract positive occurrence throughout the day. People are attracted to you, they want to work with you, do business with you and they want to hang around you.
A positive attitude is also a healthy attitude. You feel purposeful and fulfilled. Your happiness can be seen in your posture; you stand and walk tall, you have a healthy glow in your face and you feel confident.
Your positive energy will propel you into doing the things you love. You are receptive to the positive effect of healthy eating and exercise. You start taking care of your body and your health. You become a healthier person.
Soon your positive attitude and determination will also become an encouragement for others to follow. People look up to you and your positive way of life rub on them; they too want to be a positive and happy person.
How to be a positive person?
1. Do the things you love. When you do the things that make you happy, you will ultimately feel better about yourself and your life, which will fosters a positive attitude.
2. Make a conscious effort to expect the best; do not allow doom and gloom to affect you. Resist the temptation to think negatively. Make positive daily affirmation, because the more you do it, you will begin to believe it and you will experience the benefits of positive thought.
3. When we talk down to ourselves or have self doubt, we become frustrated and pessimistic. Get into the habit of thinking positively. Affirm your strengths, talents and capabilities; not your weakness. You will feel empowered and in control of your life and circumstances.
4. Have good intentions. Being positive also means having good intentions in your goals, thinking well of people and not being suspicious of others. When you have good intentions, you know in whatever you do, you are not harming others. You feel happy and positive about life.
We should never underestimate the power of our mind. Our thoughts and our emotions are reflected in the way we look, the way we speak and the way we behave. Positive thinking will improve your life and have a positive effect on people who are in contact with you.
