This rule states that eighty per-cent of our results are dependent on only twenty per-cent of what we do! This applies to nearly everything in life. So, what does this mean for us? This simply means that to successfully lose weight, we will need to concentrate on the most important factors and steps needed to lose weight, without concentrating on which, will yield minimal results for us!

There are many things you may have read about that you should do to start losing weight, but these steps are not of equal importance relative to each other when it comes to weight loss. Some of them are more effective, while others not so much. What you need to know then, is which are the most important steps to help you lose weight fast and safely. I am not saying that some tips are useless, just that they can be treated as additionally bonuses and are not necessary to lose weight effectively.

Firstly, you will need to eat a healthier diet. Everything may be performed perfectly, but as long as you accidentally botch your diet, all your efforts will go to naught. You should reduce your intake of carbohydrates and sodium as they will tend to hold onto water, giving a water retention effect, and making your face look all bloated. Also, do make sure that you are in a calorie deficit, which is the situation where you are burning off more calories through exercises than you are consuming through food.

Also, you have to be motivated. It does not matter where your motivation source comes from, as long as you fully identify with it. It has to be something you truly identify with, and must be something which can motivate you for at least a few years to come. Fat loss usually happens in spurts, and it is common to meet occasions where you are doing everything right, but you are not losing weight effectively. These are times where your initial motivation to change your body should come in to keep you going.

Finally, you should start to lift weights and perform weight training. Although it is still possible to lose weight without weight training, guys will end up looking skinny and frail while girls will look shapeless at the end of your weight loss journey! I am pretty sure that is not desirable. Also, by increasing the muscle mass in your body to a considerable amount, it will increase your passive metabolism as muscle aids in burning fats, resulting in a quicker fat burning experience!
