How to find time for God in Busy life?

The well-known sage of Lucknow, India, H.W.L. Poonja (Papaji,) was asked why more people don’t pursue enlightenment, or ‘build spirituality’ as you refer to it. He smiled and said simply, “They are otherwise occupied.” And he made it clear there was nothing wrong with that, nothing ‘better ‘ about being interested in the ‘spiritual’ path.

When you say ‘build my spirituality,’ what does that mean to you? What do you think you would be building towards? In the culmination of ‘spiritual’ realization (I prefer Reality to ‘spirituality,’) the psychological “you” that is conce
ed about building spirituality is seen to be an illusory phantom and dissolves. And the One Reality doesn’t need you to ‘build your spirituality,’ or be anything other than who you are. So in either case, it is a moot point.

You don’t say what it is that your too busy with - career, family, creative art, etc. - but whatever it is, give yourself to it wholeheartedly, be present in every moment of it, that’s your spirituality. The belief that taking time to do sadhana & practices is ‘spiritual,’ but building a career or business is ‘non-spiritual’ is nonsense…it’s the ego’s romanticized version of ‘spiritual’ and the dream.

Whatever is currently your priority in life is fine. Reality is living through you, expressing the life It deems. So whatever you’re doing is already in perfect alignment with the ultimate ‘spiritual’ manifestation. And of course, remember that when you die, the psychological “you” that’s asking this question will end also, and will not take any of its ‘built-up spirituality’ with it, so it really doesn’t matter.
